The Hydronix Polypropylene Sediment Filter is built from string wound polypropylene cord fibers around a rigid 100% polypropylene core. This unique design offers additional surface area and superior dirt holding the capacity to standard string wound cartridges. The Hydronix Sediment Filter can effectively remove fine sediment, sand, rust, silt, and other particulate matter from a range of input fluids. The 10”x 4.5” design allows it to fit easily into any industry standard-sized big blue filter housing.
This string-wound sediment filter is suited for commercial and residential water systems using either municipal or well water. The Hydronix Polypropylene Sediment filter provides excellent performance and high-quality water in a variety of applications including ice machines, film processing, commercial beverages, wineries, and labs. The polypropylene core offers excellent chemical resistance, tensile strength, and durability across a broad range of temperatures and aqueous environments. Even with these apparent advantages, the material is a far more cost-effective choice than comparable steel or nylon string wound filters.
This filter has varied micron ratings, making it an ideal choice for any two-phase filtration system that requires a robust pre-filter to sift out visible and tangible sediment before odors, tastes, and microbial level contaminants are removed further down the line. We advise that you renew the Hydronix Polypropylene Sediment Filter every six months, although you may do so earlier if you notice a change in water quality or a decrease in pressure.
