The Hydronix Polypropylene Sediment filter incorporates a unique string-wound fiber cord design that produces a more active surface area for filtering and collecting impurities in the water supply. The filter works on a dual filtration basis; while most sediments including sand, silt, and dirt will be filtered out at the surface, finer particles remain blocked by the dense inner layers. This process results in a consistently high rate of particulate retention while supplying superior water quality. This filter ranges from 5 micron through 100 micron, which means that it can effectively remove all traces of visible and tangible particles in your water supply depending on demand. Dual filtration also prolongs the filter's life, as it will take longer for sediments to clog the filter altogether.
At 20” x 4.5” the Polypropylene Sediment filter will fit into any Big Blue water filter housings, it is compatible and can effectively replace similar sized filters in Pentek, Watts, and other similar systems.
The unique polypropylene fiber cord design offers improved tensile strength, chemical resistance, and stabilization which makes it a cost-effective choice for any heavy-use applications. String wound fibers combine excellent efficiency with an extreme economy, an ideal choice of use for both commercial and residential purposes. The Polypropylene Sediment filter produces the equally effective performance when used with well or municipal water.
The Hydronix Polypropylene Sediment filter can withstand temperatures ranging from 40 F to 165 F. It meets the NSF standard 42 certifications for a material requirement.
